THE “ESPAI DE LES EMOCIONS”
Located in the Ducal Palace of Gandia, the Espai de les Emocions is a unique museum space where the visitor lives a thrilling experience, travelling back in time and enjoying a selection of historical and cultural documents, through stunning audiovisual presentations and devices that combine computer graphics, high definition, 3D and special effects. The show evokes the period of the 15th century when Gandia was the cradle of the ‘masterpieces’ of the Valencian literature, but it also refers to the development of both the city and the dukedom of Gandia during the following centuries, with the rise of the Borgias, and the great significance of one of them, Saint Francis of Borja.
The Espai de les Emocions de Gandia is designed to appeal to any audience... It offers multimedia works of art, entertaining re-creations of the atmosphere of the past and invites to experimentation and interaction through gestures and stepping and also by touch...
The Espai de les Emocions is a meeting point of culture, technology and leisure, the ideal complement to the other tourist attractions of the city. The Espai de les Emocions is the starting point for all those who want to know and enjoy Gandia and also visit the central Valencian regions, the most characteristic Valencian area, exploring the route of the Borgias, or the route of the Clàssics (masterpieces of the medieval Valencian literature).
The Espai de les Emocions ‘Gandia i els nostres Clàssics' re-creates the city of Gandia in the 15th century, the way of life of its inhabitants, the link of the city with the Mediterranean and its powerful presence in the Kingdom of Aragon. It also highlights the lives and works of the writers from Gandia, during the Golden century of the Valencian literature.
Gandia was the birthplace of Ausiàs March, Joan Martorell and Roís de Corella, the three most distinguished figures from the Golden Age of the Valencian literature.
The Espai de les Emocions ‘Gandia i els Borja' evokes the city of Gandia in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. It emphasizes the great importance of the arrival of the Borgias whose dukedom of Gandia became the gateway to the Renaissance influence in Spain and the most important centre of sugar production in Europe. An exciting return journey from Rome to Gandia.
